This will be an informal day of presentations, demonstrations, talks, discussions and role play exercises designed to give participants the opportunity to develop, improve and broaden their skill, knowledge and understanding of the clicker training method.
The day will be presented by Vince Forehead with the assistance of at least two teaching assistants and is aimed for a maximum of 18 trainers who already have some prior knowledge and experience of the clicker training method (although this is not an essential requirement).
The first part of the day will introduce participants to learning theory and terminology, with focus on the areas in which the clicker training method applies. Through role play exercises designed to develop skill and understanding of the method, participants will have the opportunity to be guided through the process of training and being trained to perform a complete behaviour using the clicker training method.
The second part of the day will present putting the principles of clicker training into the teaching/training environment to facilitate the consistent achievement of positive learning outcome in the teaching of any desired behaviour.
Discussion, feedback and question and answer sessions will supplement the learning throughout the day.
